16 things about me…
I’m “thirty something” :)
I like Diet Pepsi. Don’t shoot me.
I looooove our mountains. If I ever move away from Santa Fe, I might cry about leaving the aspens.
I love chocolate.
I am a pastor’s wife.
I do NOT like choosing “favorites.”
But if I absolutely had to pick a favorite color, it would probably be some shade of green. (Today anyway.)
At one time I worked as a proofreader for a huge textbook publisher: a very quiet job which got me through postpartum depression pretty well.
I love chocolate.
I homeschool our three children—I never started out wanting to homeschool or even teach anything at all, but every year that passes I get more “into it.”
I consider myself first and foremost to be a baby and children’s photographer. I accept that families go along with the territory. If you really want me to do anything else, just you must first recognize that I consider “babies and kids” to be my area of expertise. If that’s okay with you—let’s talk!
I love chocolate. (Wait—did I already say that?)
I have recently lost 30+ pounds (32 at the time I write this down, and I hope to keep going!)
I’m mildly interested in biking because my husband is fanatically interested in biking.
I grew up in Kalamazoo, MI; and I try to go back for a visit at least once a year.
My dream photo session takes place in an apple orchard in the fall. (It has yet to take place, but I will make it happen eventually!)

My philosophy of photography…
If there is one thing I hope to capture through my portraiture, it is the beauty of the life God has given to us. I’m not much into edgy, controversial images; I’d rather try to find the good and lovely parts and preserve those so we don’t forget them! Yes, we all have days when we get angry or stressed or irritated! But for me at least, coming across a picture of my sons with genuine laughter on their faces, or finding an image of my daughter as a newborn, all chubby and pink as she was, reminds me of what a blessing they are to my husband and me, what a great gift God has entrusted to us; and I am maybe a little inspired to keep going, to be a better wife and mom. I think we could all use a little bit more of that.
